For nearly 20 years, employees of Dentons Davis Brown have demonstrated that a little healthy competition can go a long way to help fight hunger. It all started when the firm joined STAR 102.5’s Combat Hunger event for Food Bank of Iowa.

“It’s been really good for morale,” says Bill Boatwright, senior partner at the firm. “We definitely all come together for this.”

The firm now serves as a corporate sponsor for additional Food Bank of Iowa events. Bill says it’s encouraging to know donated funds go farther because Food Bank of Iowa has such low overhead costs. Additionally, it’s easy to come together as a firm when politics aren’t involved.

“This is something that affects everybody, and a huge percentage of Iowans are food insecure,” he says.
