Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

Giving back to the community is an important part of Foster Group financial advisors’ DNA, says Wade Den Hartog, lead advisor. Foster Group employees have invested time volunteering with Food Bank of Iowa for several years.

“There’s a lot of team building that goes on just within those 2 1//2 hours that we spend during a volunteer shift,” Wade says.

Each year, employees participate in “volunteer day” with many choosing to help at Food Bank of Iowa, Wade says. Following their shift, employees are given a tour of the food bank and gain a deeper understanding of the food insecurity that exists within the community. 

“It’s a ‘boots on the ground,’ hands-on experience to be on site and see what they do,” he says of his team’s time at Food Bank of Iowa.

Meeting our mission is possible because of thousands of volunteers who annually contribute more than 33,000 hours to help put food on Iowa tables. That’s the work of 16 full-time employees!
