ClaimDOC shares time, talent and funds
ClaimDOC’s involvement with Food Bank of Iowa is extensive, from employees volunteering to event sponsorship — and ClaimDOC CEO Ben Krambeck says it all goes back to when he first heard about the extent of childhood food insecurity in his own community.
At that time, Ben learned 30 percent of children in Des Moines Public Schools were food insecure. That’s when he discovered Food Bank of Iowa and dropped off a $15,000 check from ClaimDOC in person.
“As the company has grown, we’ve been able to help out more,” Ben says.
ClaimDOC started in 2013 and has since grown to include 145 full-time employees. Along the way, the company has sponsored Food Bank of Iowa events including Smoke Out Hunger and, the Drive Away Childhood Hunger golf tournament, as well as generously contributed to our Hunger-Free Holidays telethon.
“If we are blessed, we are to be a blessing to others,” Ben says.
Ben encourages anyone interested in volunteering to invest time with Food Bank of Iowa.
“Do it once,” he says. “Bring a friend and try it.”
