You’re fueling strong futures

Stan and Phyllis’s granddaughter just graduated from college. It was a huge event in the family, and everyone in the house celebrated.

Now, Stan, Phyllis and Jennifer (Phyllis’s daughter) are ready to cheer on the bright young woman as she begins searching for a job. 

Stan and Phyllis are retired. Stan weathers long-term health effects from COVID, which ended his beloved 30-year career at a local grocery store. He now relies on a fixed income. 

“Plan ahead, plan ahead…I thought I was,” Stan says, reflecting on life’s most unexpected changes. “We didn’t expect COVID to change so much so quickly.” 

Thankfully, friends like you are here to help Stan and his family bridge any gaps from a limited budget. You help supply the Norwalk Area Food Pantry, a Food Bank of Iowa partner, where Stan stops in to stock his kitchen. 

The pantry has been an essential resource for Stan and his family. “I’m grateful for it,” he says to donors like you.
