Volunteer Opportunities
Meeting our mission is possible because of thousands of volunteers who annually contribute more than 33,000 hours to help put food on Iowa tables. That’s the work of 16 full-time employees! Learn how your team can volunteer.

Where community pantries and meal sites are not able to fully meet the need, your organization’s contributions can help us supplement food assistance through our school pantry program, mobile distribution, BackPack Program and veteran outreach.

For less than $2, Food Bank of Iowa can provide a full day’s nutrition for a child, hardworking individual, or a senior struggling to make ends meet. 96 cents of every dollar donated go directly to feed Iowans in need.

Virtual Food Drive
Skip the heavy lifting – start a virtual food drive! This turn-key tool allows individuals or groups to host an online “food” drive. Funds raised help us purchase our most-needed items.
